The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Prep to lead our Prep School (Years 3–6) and oversee the Pre-Prep curriculum (Nursery–Year 2). About the School

Bedford School Mohali will initially open for girls aged 3-14 (Nursery to Year 9) in April 2026 and will follow a British-inspired curriculum enriched with global and Indian perspectives. The Head of Pastoral Care will be responsible for Pastoral Care and Safeguarding of all students (across all year groups) initially.  The school will start to offer IGCSE in 2027 and International A Levels in 2029.

The Role

Reporting to the Principal, the Head of Pastoral Care will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, working collaboratively to achieve the school’s strategic goals. Although this role is advertised as an Assistant Head role there may be the opportunity to be considered for a Vice Principal role for the right candidate.  They will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

    Pastoral Care

  • Develop, shape and implement the School’s vision and strategy for pastoral excellence.
  • Lead responsibility for pastoral care, including acting as line manager to the Head of Boarding, School Counsellor, School Nurse and Personal Tutors.
